About Admissions Edge
Admissions Edge was founded by Dewey Wilmot in 1999 to help students set reachable goals, develop proactive academic skills and study habits and achieve success in classroom assessments, standardized tests and in college admissions. The mission of Admissions Edge is to help students develop strong foundations, both for scholastic performance and for the college admissions process.
Dewey, a 1993 graduate of Princeton University, has a certificate in College Admissions Counseling from UCLA. He imparts learning skills and strategies while tutoring a variety of subjects and advising students on the entire college admissions process. He shares his love of learning with his students and seeks to mold active, self-sustaining learners.
The Admissions Edge approach to college choice and the admissions discovery process is a "Best Fit" concept: matching students to colleges where they have the greatest probability of flourishing and succeeding. Choosing the best college takes research, exploration and making tough decisions! Let Admissions Edge help you along this challenging road.
COLLEGE ADMISSIONS COUNSELING
The college admissions process typically begins during the fall or spring of junior year. Starting by January of the junior year will ensure a thorough, yet relaxed, approach to the process. Generally, counseling continues through the winter of senior year. Coaching for standardized tests, below in the Tutoring section, can begin in the freshman year for SAT Subject Tests and/or PSAT, and can continue through the fall semester of senior year. Pre-college academic counseling is also available for younger students.
Admissions Edge strives to help you understand the college admissions process and to help you manage applying to schools. Applying to college shouldn't be stressful, it should be fun and rewarding. The following are included in all rate plans:
